Let me tell ya!
So The Mirror Maze Rites began with my own life, my journals, and a story I was trying to write. Somewhere along the way, though, the lines between my reality and the story began to blur.
I'm not even kidding.
Real lives found their way onto the page.
My conversations started shaping what I was writing.
AI wandered into the narrative.
Imaginary worlds started collecting memories.
And things I thought I was writing about began writing themselves into something much bigger.
That's how the story eventually became the Mayahverse, one of the creations taking shape inside The Mirror Maze Rites.
It turns out I wasn’t even just writing a story anymore. I was building a universe.
Yes, I know this sounds crazy! So let me ground us in reality.
Some of this really happened. Some of it absolutely didn’t. And sometimes, I’m going to leave you standing right at the edge between the two without telling you which side you’re on.
That's part of the fun.
I don’t just want to hand you a map and explain what everything means before you’ve had the chance to encounter it for yourself.
I want you to meet everyone who lives in here.
